　　青格尔和魏九斤赶到工厂，魏九斤冒死解救出人质，消灭了敌人。单之梅却在帮助被困的拆弹员时受了重伤，被送进了医院，一直昏迷不醒。　　普刑天一直在医院里照顾着苏醒过来的单之梅，单之梅的文工团战友花花公子似的人物赵业明一直追求单之梅，本想跑到医院献献殷情，但得知单之梅的身体状况后，找了一堆托词丢下之梅就走，单之梅伤心落泪。　　案子虽是破了，但吴铭章发出的匿名信也象一颗颗定时炸弹一样爆炸了，魏九斤被扣上了十大罪状，信件发出之广完全出乎白承松、魏九斤的意料，光明厂的事件在两江市闹的沸沸扬扬，甚至被传闻成南下干部与地方干部不合引发的内部争斗，造成了恶劣的影响。　　魏九斤被组织收审的事吉林本想瞒着婆婆，没想到明眼的婆婆却给她讲出了一番母子之情的道理，吉林决定不再瞒着老人，痛快地说出实情，婆婆拿出一套自然规律来引导吉林，化解了吉林心里的疑云。　　普刑天本想劝赵业明回去照顾单之梅，不料却发现赵业明正在书店服务员面前卖弄自己，早已经把单之梅抛到九霄云外了，愤怒的普刑天不顾一切的冲了上去和赵子明厮打在一起，普刑天因为殴打军人被带进了公安局，青格尔找到普刑天了解情况，普刑天却在为自己要被关好几天无法去照顾单之梅而着急，他做出了要与单之梅结婚的决定，青格尔如五雷轰顶，但仍坚强地答应了刑天请求：她要替刑天去告诉单之梅这个决定。　　青格尔拖着疲惫不堪的身体来到医院，当着吉林的面青格尔对单之梅说出了刑天的决定，单之梅流出了喜悦的泪水，吉林听傻了，回过神来立即把青格尔拉出病房质问，青格尔说出刑天的坚决态度，吉林和青格尔都明白普刑天对单之梅的感情不是真正的爱情，但也只能是无奈了。　　敌人的破坏行动被瓦解了，可是主犯吴铭章却在公安的眼皮底下人间蒸发了，机智的青格尔在吴铭章的办公室发现了机关，破墙而入冲进密室，抓获了吴铭章。
