　　魏九斤、普刑天对自己不服从组织分配，顶撞上级领导作出了深刻的检查。　　普刑天和魏九斤留在了两江市，吉林和普干戚非常的高兴。普刑天找到吉林商量自己是去教育局还是工业局工作的事情，却遭到吉林批评，说他就是不如魏九斤，还是有私心。听了吉林的话，普刑天做出决定去工业局工作，吉林却又反过来说以为刑天会选择去教育局呢，把普刑天弄了个丈二和尚摸不着头。吉林和普刑天谈起他在三营的战斗生活，吉林能把刑天写给她的信里的事情都记得清清楚楚，刑天觉得吉林非常的关心自己的事，以为吉林一直深爱着自己，全国也都解放了，自己和吉林曾经发下的誓言也该实现了，于是向吉林提出了结婚的事，不想吉林却非常的漠然。　　魏九斤被分配去做清理妓院、担任教养院院长的工作，在短暂的心理矛盾斗争后，魏九斤很快摆平了自己的心态，欣然接受了这项任务，而且很快进入了工作状态，吉林、普刑天、青格尔都帮着魏九斤做清理工作，吉林和普刑天还主动请战成了工作组的成员。魏九斤、吉林、普刑天三人来到烟花柳巷了解情况，正欲与逸情院书馆馆主单之梅打听情况，却碰上了来此执行抓捕特务任务的青格尔，在魏九斤的帮助下青格尔顺利漂亮的完成了抓捕任务。　　吉林觉得魏九斤只把和青格尔之间的感情看成是生死的战友情太伤青格尔的心，于是跑去提醒魏九斤现在要把青格尔当作女人来看，重新审视他们之间的感情，并告诉魏九斤青格尔亲口告诉自己，她喜欢魏九斤。
