　　周乃兴原来是代介民派去董府的。代介民命令周乃兴以道歉的名义去方哈儿府上，务必要找出方哈儿通共的证据。于是董二就带着周乃兴突然来到方府，门卫拦不住，就撞到了穿着睡衣的刘玉和方哈儿。周乃兴嘴上在道歉，眼睛却一直在搜寻方哈儿通共的证据，终于发现一张可疑的压在皮箱下的纸片。碍于没有机会下手，周乃兴只有暂时装作陪董二和哈儿去赌场。在赌场门口遇到一个哭诉儿子战死的大娘，巧的是死去的儿子正好是88军的。方哈儿顿感痛心，便差人安顿好大娘。董二见此情景，决定交定了方哈儿这个朋友。赵栓柱受了白祺的委托，打算在赌桌底下塞炸药炸死方哈儿。　　几人进了赌场，眼见一位黄爷正在为难一位手无寸铁的男子牛强，董二见这位黄爷很有趣，便要上前挑战。第一把便输了五万，方哈儿说只要董二开心，赢了算董二，输了算自己，董二心情不佳就不玩了要走，这时之前的大娘要送鸡蛋给哈儿拦住了方哈儿离去的路，赵栓柱的炸弹爆炸了。白祺尾随牛强，杀掉此人栽赃。　　方哈儿大难不死，董二没有受伤，颤颤巍巍的大娘嘱托哈儿，只要打好仗，老家的壮丁们都死而无憾。哈儿深受感触，这时得知新四军遇到了困难，哈儿便开口要向董二借钱，董二透露黄金价格很快就会上涨，建议方哈儿购买黄金。方哈儿觉得这是一大笔钱，打算演一绑匪抢劫的戏码，诱骗刘玉拿出房契。
