　　三妹即将临盆，整个家庭都被幸福环绕着。吴建富更是每天围着三妹转，趴在三妹肚子上听孩子的声音，并与三妹约好不管工作多忙，五点之前一定赶回家。年关将至，镇里面知道建富棉被做的好，特派他到镇里为特贫困军属家眷做大年慰问的棉被。建富不想去，想留下来陪三妹，三妹得知后，劝说建富去为国家做贡献。吴建富听了三妹的劝导，认为有理，去做棉被，却不知有着灾难等着自己。一年多了春芳还是没有怀上孩子，李母步步逼紧，骂春芳不如三妹。春芳觉得对不起大庆想和他离婚。大庆要挟李母，再这样逼迫就搬出去住。李母不依不饶势必要把春芳赶出门。三妹胎动，马上要生了。建富那边刚要走就起了大火，建富为了救国家财产赴身火海。何长军也一起救火，就在他危机之际建富挡下了致命一击。三妹经历难产折磨终于生下女儿，母女平安，但建富却牺牲了。大家一起为建富举办了葬礼，三妹哭的撕心裂肺。大庆也到场慰问，发誓要照顾好三妹和孩子。
