　　国民党高层说服不了方志敏(刘之冰 饰)投诚，决定处死方志敏。死神的脚步在向方志敏逼近，方志敏从容不迫交待自己的后事，委托小唐把一封信交给赵天明(吴其江 饰)一行人。小唐心情沉重说不出话来。方志敏感谢小唐几个月以来负责送饭，临行之前，他向小唐行了一个军礼，鼓励小唐乐观积极面对未来。

　　方志敏被国民党秘密处决于下沙窝，曹直斋带领苏梅收拾方志敏的房间，方志敏留下了一些手稿，内容全是宣传共产党。曹直斋读完手稿内容勃然大怒，一把撕碎了手稿，骂骂咧咧离去。国民党政府囚禁了方志敏几个月，期盼方志敏写出拥护国民党的文章，方志敏表面顺从国民党，暗地里写的文章全是拥护共产党，把国民党当成猴子戏弄。苏梅趁着曹直斋离去，拿走了方志敏写的被撕碎的手稿，带回家里拼回原位，阅读方志敏写的内容。方志敏虽然死了，他的精神长留世间，苏梅联想到其余遇害的同志们，心情悲痛冒雨走在街头上，跌倒在地上，仰天大哭。革命比想象中的更坚难，苏梅没了方向，哭泣中依稀看到了繆敏的身影，繆敏站在雨中鼓励她振作起来，不能因为当下的困难退缩。眼前的只是幻觉，苏梅定睛向前一看，前方只有茫茫大雨，哪里有繆敏的身影。

　　小凤进监狱查看赵天明几人的身体状况，黄看守对小凤产生了好奇心，盘问小凤的底细。赵天明担心黄看守怀疑小凤，计上心来让文采假装突发疾病，转移黄看守的注意力。

　　方志敏写的信落到了赵天明的手里，他在信里鼓励革命者勇敢与国民党斗争，未来属于敢于为自己争取自由的人民。赵天明一行人读完方志敏写的文章，热泪盈眶纷纷行起了军礼，向方志敏表达敬重。

　　黄看守为了防备监狱犯人们闹事，向曹直斋提出建议，节减监狱伙食，只要犯人们吃不饱饭，自然就没有力气闹事。曹直斋觉得黄看守的建议可行，批准黄看守减少监狱伙食。犯人们开始每天吃着粗茶清粥，吃不到一点肉，一个个饿得有气无力。郑镜清愁眉不展，照此下去，别说与国民党斗争，保证自己不被饿死都很困难。

　　红军结束了二万五千里长征，周恩来(刘劲 饰)与毛泽东(王霙 饰)讨论当下时局。邓小平(卢奇 饰)面色凝重走进屋里，向两位领导汇报刘畴西一行人的下落。部队已经打探到刘畴西和方志敏一行人的下落了，遗憾的是，刘畴西和方志敏等人早已死在了国民党的手里。毛泽东得生方志敏一行人遇害，心情急转直下，半响说不出话来。当初方志敏曾经向毛泽东表示，只要他活在世上一天，就不遗余力为革命工作一天，毛泽东非常赏识方志敏的气度，怎奈老天爷不长眼睛，方志敏还未为革命事业进一步做贡献，被国民党迫害付出了宝贵的生命。
